How Google Maps trick could help you to save petrol and diesel.

Rising price of petrol and diesel it's very difficult to save money. In India there are very traffic on the roads that is why the vehicle burn more fuel in the way. We can use google map to find the destination but some time it's shows long route. 

The maps intimate you about the traffic and multiple routes available to you destination. But, did you know that the navigation service also allows you to measure distance between two and multiple destinations. Measuring the shortest distance between multiple destinations will not only help you save time but you will save petro or diesel as well. There is an easy way out using which you can do that. Follow the below mentioned steps and calculate the distance with ease.



On desktop



Step 1: Open Google Maps in the web browser on you computer.



Step 2: Zoom into the starting point and then right click on it.



Step 3: After this, select ‘Measure’ distance from the drip down menu.



Step 4: Once done, then click on the second location you want to measure the distance too. In case you want to measure the distance between multiple points then you can click on all those locations.



Step 5: After this, you have to drag a point to adjust it in order to map the distance. As soon as you will drag the point you will notice that the Google Maps will show you the distance between the locations at the bottom of the page.





On the smartphone



You can perform the same task even on your Android or iOS smartphone. However, the process is slightly different when you do it on a smartphone. Just follow the below mentioned steps and it will be done.



Step 1: Open the Google Maps app.



Step 2: Now locate the first point and mark it with a red pin.



Step 3: After this, at the bottom of the map tap the name of the place.

Step 4: Now from the pop-up menu select the Measure distance.

Step 5: Then you have to drag the map so that the black circle is on the next point you want to add.

Step 6: You can add multiple point in the app also by clicking on Add + option.

Step 7: After doing this you will now notice the total distance in miles or kilometers displayed at the bottom.
